How to get rid of wine stains?

A dinner table gets its actual shine and grace when it is covered by a beautiful table cloth. But the table cloth is one such piece of clothing which is most susceptible to stains, be it of curry, desert or wine. Stains give a sloppy and dirty impression to the guests whether they are on personal clothes or on interior clothing pieces. Stains are always hated and fussy whether they are of dirt, grease or wine. Wine stains look very bad and also require good amount of effort for removal. Yet wine stain removal can be easy if a proper technique is adopted for it. If a stain remover is to be used it must also be the best fabric softener. In case the best fabric softener cum remover is not available there are also some home remedies available.
In order to easily and successfully remove wine stains it is first required to check whether the stain is fresh or has already dried. Wine stain removal process is different for both the situations.
Cleansing process of Wet Stains
Wet stains are easier to clean because the liquid has not dried inside the threads of the fabric. The point to be noted is not to rub as it will further make the stain deep in to the fabric. The home remedies are:
·         Pour club soda over the stain and blot slowly with a dry cloth.
·         Use talcum powder over the stain. Let it dry and soon the liquid will be soaked by it.
·         Sprinkle salt or baking power over the stain and it will do the same effect talcum powder has on the stain.
Cleansing process of dry wine stains:
Rubbing is not preferred here and dabbing/blotting with a cloth are useful. The steps of dry removal are:
·         If possible lift up the cloth and put a cloth or towel below. This will not let the things used soak off.
·         With a dry cloth or cotton pad apply a mix of detergent and hydrogen peroxide in the ratio 1:2.
·         After leaving it for 5 minutes the cloth should be washed with detergent and cold water. Hot water is not recommended as it will make the stain go deep into the cloth.
·         Check for the stain, if it has not gone it is time to repeat the process. Do not tumble dry until the stain goes else the left out stain mark will remain forever due to heat.
If the cloth is to be given for dry cleaning, don’t apply the techniques. It should be immediately sent to the dry cleaners that have specialized techniques of dealing with the stain. Most wine stains are fussy and take quite a large amount for removal. It may be possible that the cleaning processes have to be repeated twice or thrice. But with consistent effort a wine stain can be removed easily. Click here : http://sofft.co
